Richell Bonner, better known as Richie Spice, is part of a musical family. His brothers Pliers (from Chaka Demus & Pliers), Spanner Banner and DJ Snatcher Dogg are all reggae artists, but the family's now strongest shining star must nonetheless be Richie Spice himself.

After a number of years of toiling in the shadow of his brothers, he got some attention in the early 2000s for songs like "Grooving My Girl" and especially his big hit "Earth A Run Red". Since then he has gone from strength to strength. In 2007, he released his hit album In The Streets To Africa with songs such as "Youth Dem Cold", "Brown Skin" and "Open The Door".

Richie Spice's music often has political or religious themes that we can hear in songs such as "Gideon Boot", "The Plane Land", "the World Is A Cycle" and his ganja anthem "Marijuana".

March 2011, he released his latest album the Book Of Job as just as several of his latest album is a high quality. Listen extra carefully to his version of Randy Crawford's abstracts "Street Life" here referred to as "My Life", "Soothing Sound" and the infectious song, "Yap Yap".
