Jah Sun from California began his career relatively recently. 2006 he released his debut album Height of Light with guest artists such as Luciano, Junior Reid and the Lutan Fyah. His music is a mixture of hip-hop, reggae and “world music” with conscious and positive texts.

On his last album Stronger from 2009 he also collaborates with big names such as KRS-ONE and Chezidek. Jah Sun is now working on his third self titled albums that will be released within a near future and is expected be his best work to date.

Jah Sun's biggest hit is perhaps “No Bonez No Blood” about his veganism. The tune is a good example of the conscious and positive messages that is found in his music.
