Quique Neira was previously the frontman of the large Chilean reggae band Gondwana. In 2002 he began his solo career with great success in Chile and in other parts of South America.

Quique Neiras music is founded on reggae but throughout his career he has also experimented with several other genres. Often, it has been possible to find certain Latin American components in the music. Prominent brass sections, Spanish guitars and especially the Spanish language, which most of the songs are sung in, gives us clues about the artist's geographical home.

On the last album Jah Rock from 2008 he goes back to Roots Reggae with elements of Ska. A feeling for melodies and skilled musicians providing the beat makes this album a pleasant experience for reggae lovers.
