Queen Ifrica (pronounced Aj-frika) is one of the most talented additions to the reggae scene in recent years. She recieved her musical vein from her father - ska legend Derrick Morgan. Ifrica was discovered by Tony Rebel after an appearance at a tribute concert to Garnett Silk and was subsequently signed to Rebels label, Flames Poduction. She has been in music since the mid-90s, but didn't brake through until the early 00s. With songs like "Randy" and "Below The Waist" she created a name for himself in Jamaica.

Her (and perhaps the whole reggae/dancehall scene's) most controversial song in recent years is "Daddy". The song is about incest and sexual abuse against children, but dispite the sensitive subject it was a hit both in Jamaica and England. Many of her songs take up problems that primarily affect women and children. In this way she contributes with a women's perspective which is more than welcome in an otherwise male-dominated music industry.

She is a stable and an explosive performer both on record and on stage, so do not miss her live-performance!
